Dear Hameeda
Hope you are doing well.
I thank you very much for your response concerning GDN-Pak after a long time. It
was indeed a good idea floated by Shirkat Gah during one of its meetings in Karachi, but unfortunately it lost its rhythm and enthusiasm with which it was formed. It even now can bring good results if proper coordination is done among its members both old and new ones and chalk out different activities thereto.
The Society for Human Advancement and Disadvantaged Empowerment has been contributing against women violence since its inception in 2004. As one of the members of GDN-Pak we formed "Ending Violence Against Women (EVAW) Forum". The forum conducts its regular meetings to discuss women issues in the area. The forum has participation of different stakeholders of the area.
SHADE organization in its recent annual meetings of the Board of Directors has decide to make Women Empowerment as its sole mandate and we have boosted up our efforts to further strengthen our networks and activities against women violence.
Taking this opportunity I would rather suggest to have proper coordination with the GDN-Pak members and chalk out programs for further strengthening this network to yield positive results.
Thank you
Sajad Ahmed
