Good Day and Greetings!

I would like to share that Mr. Ghulam Mustafa Baloch (Ex-Regional Head, SPO-Hyderabad) is appointed as Executive Director of SDS. This decision is made in the Board meeting held on 4th August 2018 at SDS head office. 

Mr. Baloch is a human rights activist he served as a Regional Head in Strengthening Participatory Organization SPO , and provided strategic leadership to SPO at three provinces of Pakistan ( Sindh, Punjab and Balochistan) . Mr. Baloch possess approximately 18 years of sound professional experience in the field of community development particularly humanitarian, social justice, good governance, peace & harmony, political education, advocacy and social mobilization. He is specialized in institutional strengthening.  He is strongly motivated and committed to end poverty, combat with social stratification, women's empowerment, child protection, justice and human security. During his service he visited nationally and internationally. This enabled him to build network with international community and donor organizations. Further, he is a well know personality at major forums in Pakistan and internationally.  

Sindh Development Society (SDS) was formed in 1991 and registered in May 1994 under the Societies Act 1860, to participate in the process of development and social uplift of the backward areas of the province of Sindh.SDS is one of the few organizations with a wide-range agenda on development. During its existence, SDS has been actively involved in the development projects in the areas of non-formal education, sanitation, environmental protection, human rights, advocacy, political education/awareness, primary healthcare, capacity building of grass-root local CBOs and in disaster relief services. http://www.sdsngo.org
