Image with Mandriva 2009 Spring?

Hi,

Mandriva 2009 Spring was release a couple of weeks ago and it is a
very nice release. When can we expect this updated version to come to
G-dium? Is any work being done on it? I'm mainly interested in very
nice new educational programs from KDE 4.2, like Step physics
simulator and Marble desktop globe.

Hi,

Regarding your main question, yes there is work ongoing to port glinux to mandriva 2009.1 and we expect a delivery in a couple of months - of course we intend to release beta versions to olph as usual.

Now, qt4.5 has been recompiled for gdium already (following the hackathon in may, even though I don't know if and where it has been distributed already) so porting Marble on the existing platform should be possible (I don't know what the other dependences are of course so maybe there are blocking points).

In any case, we will keep in mind those 2 apps to be included in the next delivery.
