Cant get Gdigi to work

Hello All

      New to Linux. Just Loaded Ubuntu and im in the process of Loading all the programs that i need. Found gdigi to use with my RP500 from Digitech.
I went to the gdigi web page and followed the instructions entering the text into the Terminal. When I click on the gdigi icon the screen just flashes and nothing else. Maybe im doing somthing wrong. can anyone please help.

Try starting gdigi from a terminal window (simply type gdigi and Enter), to see if you get meaningful error messages.
