As part of our ongoing partnership with Startup Weekend, on Wednesday 21st March we're organizing an evening of exciting talks about a range of Google technologies to help prepare developers for the weekend:

-Google's developer advocate Ade Oshineye will be discussing how to use the Google+ APIs to integrate your app or website with Google+ to enable users to connect with each other for maximum engagement.

-Kathryn Hurley, a developer programs engineer at Google, will be talking about how to use Google Fusion Tables to allow your apps to store, share, query and visualize data.

-Android developer Che Jami will be exploring the advantages of creating native mobile applications and how it can help us achieve a competitive edge that entrepreneurs desperately need in the current market, flavoured with a generous swirl of Android.

All GTUG members are invited, whether you're attending the weekend or not. See our website for more details and registration:

We've updated a couple of the talk descriptions, please note that Fusion Tables developer Kathryn Hurley will be talking specifically about the new Places API.

-Google+ Developer Advocate, Ade Oshineye, will be showing us how to use the Google+ APIs and talking about the evolution of Google's approach to APIs.

-At last year's Google I/O, Google Launched the Places API, a new API that allows you to find restaurants, bars, hospitals, churches, government buildings, and any other kind of business, landmark, or place. With millions of entries, the Places API not only lets you use our data, but add your own and control how your search works. Kathryn Hurley, a developer programs engineer at Google, will cover how to build your own next generation map application.
