Senior Android Engineer

Position Summary

Jingit is seeking Senior Android Engineers to join a dynamic, collaborative feature team, taking a lead role in the end-to-end development of our Android apps for smartphones and tablets. The right person for this job will have experience creating mobile applications from conception to production, and excels working in a distributed development environment leveraging Agile methodologies.

The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and humor to the team, along with deep expertise and a details-driven approach to their work.

As a senior member of the Jingit Engineering Team, you can expect to help with:

• Brainstorming new features and functionality for our various internal projects
• Working directly with team members to coordinate development in an Agile way
• Taking a leadership role in with mobile applications assuring ultimate functionality and offering the best user experience
• Designing, architecting and coding Jingit mobile applications

About you (experience):

• You keep current with best practices and design patterns for Android and are happy to get nerdy about memory management, UI layout and rendering, or network performance
• You’ve shipped successful apps to Google’s Play Store that you are proud of and that demonstrate your commitment to quality and detail
• You have 5+ years of development experience (2+ with Mobile)
• You understand the importance of effective team collaboration and communication and leading by example
• Love digging into tough problems, leveraging stellar analytical and problem solving skills
• You possess advanced skills with Android OS mobile development using Java, HTML/CSS
• Experience delivering video on mobile devices is a plus
