You're invited to a full day of hacking the web with Polymer--a library built on Web Components that enables developers to create their own encapsulated, custom HTML elements!

Much of the day will consist of self-guided tutorials, but of course we will collaborate to learn together :)

Rough agenda:

10:00 AM: Arrival: coffee + muffins + warm greetings
10:15 AM: Introductory presentation
11:00 AM: Polymer basics (interactive samples)
11:15 AM: Tutorial codelab
12:00 PM: Lunch
12:30 PM: Maps codelab
1:00 PM: Self-guided codelabs -- or hack on your own project
4:30 PM: Show off your work, compare notes and thoughts, wrap up

Prerequisites: Participants will be expected to be comfortable with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Having access to a computer on which they can edit HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will be extremely helpful!

Location: FA-358, in the Fraser Science Building

Parking: Is apparently available in visitors' parking lots for free, as Security does not check for the pay-and-display tickets on weekends.

Please RSVP on Google+ to https://plus.google.com/events/c0vreg84gsp04s6bihk1ofs1df0 or on Meetup at http://www.meetup.com/GDG-Sudbury/events/216629942/ to give us an idea of how many muffins we should bring for the morning :)
