Okay - the dust has settled, and rather than August, the GDGs in the general vicinity of Waterloo (including Detroit and Toronto) have agreed on the weekend of September 28 / 29. This will be in the middle of the GDG DevFests happening worldwide, so we will be able to tap into the excitement - and of course have a great event in Waterloo.

We're planning for the event ASAP, and the first thing we need to figure out is whether the facility in Waterloo is going to be big enough for the expected attendees.

So, if you think you're going to be able to attend, please let us know. You can either respond to this post, or send an email to ad...@gdgsudbury.ca if you would prefer not to share your plans with the rest of the world! Oh, and if you're not sure yet, you can give us a rough estimate of the likelihood that you'll be able to attend.

If we have enough interested attendees from the Sudbury region, we could put together a convoy :)

Okay... not so much response to the last message to the list, so let's try a survey (build with Google Drive forms, of course).

As previously noted, DevFest Waterloo is going to happen on the weekend of September 28 / 29, 2013. To create the best possible event, we need to know how many people are going to be attending, what they're interested in learning about and doing, and travel and accommodation plans.

This is also a great opportunity to collect feedback about the direction of GDG Sudbury for future meetups locally. So even if you can't attend DevFest, please fill out the rest of the form - and feel free to share this survey link with your friends and colleagues via any channel.

The survey is at http://goo.gl/yM8O6 - thanks in advance!
