Company Profile:
It is a member of all the exchanges (NSE, BSE, MCX, NCDEX, MCX-SX) and has over 300  branches and 1000 employees. Its businesses include retail brokering, institutional broking , private wealth management, asset management,  lending/non-banking finance company and proprietary trading. It is regulated by the equity markets regulator (SEBI), commodities market regulator (FMC), and the central bank (RBI) in India.
It is part of a large conglomerate in India called the ‘Coffee Day Group’. The conglomerate has diverse interests ranging from financial services, coffee retail and export, IT, real estate and logistics. A group of private equity firms (KKR, Standard  Chartered Private Equity and New Silk Route) invested $200 million in the group in 2010 at a valuation of $ 1bilion.
A significant majority of our business is prop trading (both HFT and lower frequency quant strategies) , and we also manage some external investor capital in lower frequency quant strategies in India. We are a team of  25 people with a strong technical background (24 of us are computer science/electrical engineers) and with past work experience in quant research, trading, and trading infrastructure development at global banks and hedge funds (Tower Research, Citadel, DE Shaw, AQR, Credit Suisse, Goldman, Nomura)


Requirements

- Should be a computer science/engineering graduate from a top tier engineering college (IIT, NIT, IIIT, BITS-Pilani, etc)
- Should have significant experience coding in C++
- Candidates with past experience building exchange infrastructure/exchange connectors will be preferred.


Responsibilities:  

1) To expand/adapt our low latency trading infrastructure to global exchanges. This will involve building components such as market data feed handlers,  OMS, risk management server,  exchange simulators, etc

2) To work on improve the latency of our base infrastructure to ensure that our latency stays competitive relative to our peers in each market that we trade in. This will involve exploring both software options and hardware/FPGA options
