It's time to plan the next meet-up in November. We had a lot of topics around Android at our last few meetings so we decided this time to take a look at the web technologies namely speaking:
Google Web Toolkit
We had introductions to GWT before so this time I will show you how to let GWT play its part in an Enterprise Web Application. We will discuss how to integrate GWT with the following technologies:
Spring Framework
Spring Web MVC
Spring Security
Hibernate
Maven
The above mentioned technologies are prominent members of every JEE programmers toolbox but many people don't know that they work very well together with GWT. Even if you need GWT just for a small part of your Web Application where you would like to have the full power of AJAX or just like to manipulate to DOM using Java, while the rest of you Application strives to obey the ROCA principles.
You won't be seeing any slides but at lot of code and hopefully have a vital discussion about it. If there is any time left and somebody interessed in this topic, I will also show you how to run the Application fault tolerant on Tomcat clustered behind an Apache2 Httpd.
