Hi GDG Fellows,

The first GDG meetup in 2014 will take place January 14th (7pm) at Garage Bilk in Düsseldorf.

We have to topics.

1. Introduction to Gradle, Randy Gupta (SCARATEC IT-Consulting GmbH)
Gradle is a build automation tool that strives to succeed Ant and Maven. Time for us to take a look at this promising pice of software. The talk will give an overview about how gradle works.
 
2. Generate revenues with your Android App on the BlackBerry 10 Platform, by Kamel Lajili (BlackBerry Deutschland GmbH)
The BlackBerry 10 Platform included from the beginning an optimized Android runtime inside. This had some limitations so that only 60…70% of android apps were functional after conversion. Now with the upcoming release 10.2.1 we improved that runtime considerably and we made it possible to simply tap apk files to get them installed on your BlackBerry 10 devices. No conversions are required any more. Join me in this session to get more informed on that and why it’s worth it to come to the BlackBerry platform with your Android App.
