      In order to promote the Google development technology and provide a communication platform for all developers in Lanzhou,  who have interests in Google development technologies, various Internet and mobile development technologies. After two months' careful and elaborate preparation, Lanzhou GDG community held the Devfest activity titled make innovations, technology first, which took Place in room C203 in Tianshan Tang of Lanzhou University Yuzhong campus. Nearly three hundreads (289) attended this activity. The academic hall was full of passionate audiences.

This activity mainly introduced the Android N system by google,2016, PWA, google’s new products FireBase and Google Assistant and TensotFlow. We invited many experienced developers to introduce their works and share some experience in their businesses.

Pre-activity:

  To make this activity go on smoothly, good android works had been collected from the beginning of this month, then better ones were selected and chosen works were released on the 21^h. Nearly 30 volunteers finished the site layout of the meeting hall and network adjustment. All 30 volunteers were in place.
    Codelab, for the purpose of promote the tool AppInventor, attracted almost 60 developers to take part in, half of which were female developers; it opened the whole activity. Many of developers completed their work in two hours. According to assessment, the works of 2 developers were chosen for the further introduction.
While-activity:

    Part 1.  Frank, the host, introduce the aim and content of Devfest.  Kangkang showed warm welcome to all the attendees, looked back how the Lanzhou GDG developed, emphasized the aims of holding such a meaningful activity and introduced organizers of Lanzhou GDG.

    Part 2.  Analyze new characteristics of Android N. KangKang introduced some of characteristics, such as Multi-Window, Vulkan API, Drag anf Drop,Quick Settings.

    Part 3. Wang Chen, a developer, introduced Android application development with Material Design. He explained the rules of Material Design and how to develop an application which obey the rules of Material Design, and finally he show us a pre-preparation demo.

    Part 4. Xie Qirong introduced the concept of PWA, the features of PWA, the key technologies of PWA and quick start with PWA.
    Part 5. Wang Mingsheng, a developer, introduced FireBase to us, he introduced the application sense, api, functions and usage of FireBase and showed us a demo application.

    Part 6. Wang Yu, an entrepreneur, introduced Blockly to us with humorous.

     Part 7. Game time and tea time. The host invited attendees join in the on-line games on chrome. According to this kind of interaction on cell phone and pc, the developers experience the pleasure in the flesh via HTML5. The winners in the game were awarded. Meanwhile, Attendees had a variety of desserts and fruits happily.

    Part 8.  Shen Zebang analysed the principle of TensorFlow, introduced the framework TensorFlow, and shared experience of developing with TensorFlow.

    Part 9. Xu Zijian introduced Google Assistant to us, and share his point on combine mobile development with machine learning.

    Part 10. Zhi Peng and Qi Yutao, excellent developers of CodeLab, shared their experience in learning Android development and showed their works.    
    Part 11. Frank made a conclusion for the activity, and gave a warm welcome to all developers attended this activity again. Above all, they could learn more new technology with the help of Internet.
