Hello Googlers :)

I have an idea. Why don't we make video tutorials and upload them on youtube, but we make them in Arabic.

The tutorials could be on coding, email writing, CV writing, new Google products..anything.

All of the above tutorials fill the internet already but not in Arabic.

Tell me what do you think

plans

What will be the scope of this meeting ?

if it just for talking about establishing an active GTUG,  who say that Cairo-GTUG is passive or inactive, but any way lets skip this part or let's rename it as making Cairo-GTUG more active.

so i think that we can establish this meeting online first, put some ideas and milestones.

what we can gain from the online meeting is :

1- we can grantee that all the group members can be participate in this meeting.

2- a lot of the group members can't be located in one place in one time so face to face meeting will hard to most of us ( about me i can't attend any meeting in a working day before 08:00 pm especially if the meeting will hold outside Nasr City ).

3- Cairo-GTUG now have large number of members now, so i think that there isn't one place which can fit all of us, or at least it will be hard to find, so we will search for paid place for this meeting.

4- this meeting will talk a long time i.e more than 3 or 4 hours and most of us will be unavailable for this long time.

5- the ideas of make Cairo-GTUG more active will talk a long time to think in, because we talking here about a long term plan ( plan which will take place in the next year), because we already have a short term plan which will cover the online meeting which established in Cairo University with google engineer and the session we take in the g-egypt, please Abdelrahman* can you please give us more details about this.

6- we can establish an online meeting with voice chat using Google Talk.

Yeah exactly, but I think what comes before all of this is defining the goals of the meeting instead of ending up with a chaotic random meeting that has no output.

Please, test any system that u will use for voice chatting before the meeting. I had problems with that with my team (Allah yerhamo, lol). I think gTalk is not for groups' chatting. Yahoo is bad. Skybe has limits. You need to look for some thing like free web conference.
