Here is quick update. We've zeroed upon 30th September as date of hosting the DevFest. It will be hosted at Hotel Royal Orchid, Old Airport Road.

We need to now get rolling...

Please go through below site - which shall be used for planning purpose of the event. I've created a draft template. Loads of information needs to be populated... You all should start updating this site. If you have any access problem, let me know. 

1st & most important task will be to get quality speakers... 

FYI: Web-site is getting prepared for this global DevFest and we should be able to get a sub-domain for us pretty soon. Will keep you all updated on the same.

Wow. We do not have time even to talk and discuss. So I will cut to the chase directly.

While we are working with speakers, we need to start the registration process asap. I believe we can get people interested with the GDG brand name. Getting 400 people in 15 days, is a big challenge.

I believe we can start the marketing and registration process asap. I can take ownership of these, however, I need to have a quick talk to understand some details.

I might also be able to help is getting speakers, but need to know the purpose and the topics to be covered.

Hi Rashmi Ranjan Padhy,

We're aiming for 200 people. Our past experience suggest, getting people for registration is not a challenge. 

We should get quality speakers. In the site I've created & shared, let us capture the data as move ahead. This shall enable everybody to be in sync. 

Talk topics: We're open on any trend in Google. Hence quality speakers across different product space - is what we should aim for. 

Web-Site & Registration. I should be sharing this details shortly.

Hi Guys

There will be 2 tracks.

Session Hall I :

• Android : Morning
• HTML5 : Afternoon

Session Hall II :

• Chrome : Morning
• Maps/Drive/G+ : Afternoon.. ( this is one generic track )

So lets start finding speakers for these topic. I know that there are many groups in Bangalore for HTML5 and may be for JS etc. We can invite members from that group to give a talk.

I have also requested Uttam(google Dev rel team) to get us some google speakers via hangout. It looks like he has blocked google engineeers schedule for us..but haven't got any update on that.

I dont know if  this what you are looking for. But we could do a session on HTML5 & CSS3. A session that can get people started on HTML5.
And another area we can help is in creating marketing posters, volunteer cards... or any design related support you may need. Looking forward
to support in all way possible.

Last devFest we had a talk on HTML 5 - at an Introductory level. If we have a talk at Intermediate or Expert level, that should be fine.
