Hey guys,

I was just wondering if anyone knows how to make a form submit directly to an email address?

The code I'm using right now starts my form with

    <form action="MAILTO:rw8...@american.edu" method="post" enctype="text/plain">

and this opens up Mail or something like that in order to send the email. I've tried googling it but the few methods I've tried have all opened up an email box separately.

I'd really appreciate it if anyone knows!

Thanks so much!

Raquel

You have to add a PHP file to your website in order to make your form work. This website should help: http://www.freecontactform.com/email_form.php

Since I am just learning jquery I can't figure out why when I load my site why sometimes I have to keep refreshing the page to get it to work. Any ideas?? I am using caption hover and the images will either load as little dots or if I refresh a bunch of times it will show up normal. Anybody know?

Raquel, you don't need PHP. I made a link that emails me. The code looks like:

w3 schools has a great resource for it

Hey,

Ally, I'll try that, thanks.

Una, thats what I tried but it opened up like a third party email to send it.

Thanks a lot!

Hey Nikki, the link you sent takes me to a 403 error. Let me know when it's working and I'll look at the code.

Well from looking at it, the only thing I did differently in my hover captions is I made them classes instead of ID's and applied each one specifically to each of the images instead of to the images overall by using an ID... I don't know if that makes sense...

would you care if I looked at your html? and do you see what I mean in terms of delay? I put the folders for the jquery directly into my ftp but I am not sure if that is what is supposed to be done.

The file structure should go onto your FTP just as it is on your computer so as long as you did that it's right.

Yeah, feel free to look at mine: allypalanzi.com

Would you be able to tell my the structure of your files with your jquery because I know this is what is screwing it up. It works when I view in browser but it stalls when I load it to my FTP site. I have a folder for each jquery plugin on my desktop along with a folder for my site. All I did was drag and drop. But no such luck. This is soo frustrating
