Hey Ross!

How are you doing? Hope the end of the semester is treating you well.

My company, Curiouser Creative, is looking for a web design/development apprentice for the summer. Do you know of any students who are still looking for an internship? I realize it's kind of late in the semester, but if you could forward to anyone who might be interested, I would really appreciate it.

On a mostly unrelated note: it's been more than a year since we ran into each other at 930, but hey. Did you see that BBB is playing June 15? Will I see you there? ;)

Thanks,
Liza

Here's the word:

CURIOUSER is a small creative studio with a range of interests, abilities and awards. We never do the same project twice, and we're always pushing the envelope on what can be done. Sometimes we forget the envelope, and use a carrier pigeon instead.

We are looking for an apprentice designer/developer who:

- has a working knowledge of CS5 Design Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- is comfortable with typography, illustration, layout and design
- is well-versed in HTML and CSS
- has at least heard of jQuery/javascript, PHP, and open-source CMS (Wordpress, Drupal, etc.) (preferably has experience, but at the very least has a strong desire to learn)
- is an independent problem solver
- is a good communicator and can vocalize questions
- is committed to the craft
- is a genuinely curious and interested person

As a smaller company, we'll spend more time helping you develop your skills and understanding of the craft. We're looking for someone who is reliable and down-to-earth, and is comfortable working in a laid-back, home-office environment.

We would like to work with candidates to determine individual needs, but ideally the apprenticeship would last for at least two months, 3-5 days a week, and include a stipend, university credit and/or lunch.

Send a resume and a pdf and/or link to work you're proud of to appre...@curiousercreative.com. Additionally, please tell us a little bit about yourself, and why you would want to work with us.

Thanks!
