Hi guys

I realise this is short notice, but I’m writing to make sure you've heard of the Appathon event that is currently taking place, and to ask if you might have an hour or so to offer in mentoring over the next two weekends - using Skype/Google Hangout.

You can read all the details about Appathon at the website https://www.founders4schools.org.uk and we think it’s an initiative that’s worth supporting.

University students will be building prototype apps from ideas created by school children, so it's getting young people involved in development at different levels. The building of the prototypes will be happening in two hackathon weekends, on 18/19 and 25/26 October and the organisers would like mentors on hand via Skype/Google Hangout to support and advise. Mentors need to sign up on a doodle form at www.doodle.com/y27fu7i4ppndyyb8  to say when you would be available during either or both weekends, and the students would book some time with you for advice/support as they work on the prototype.

Thanks for reading this email, and for any time you can give to the Appathon.

If you are interested and would like to speak with the team feel free to pass on your contact details and I'll introduce you - ac @ recworks.co.uk

Cheers guys,

Anj
