Please help... I'm looking for digital marketing mentors

Hi guys,

A while since I’ve written to this list, so I hope you all remember me… :-) Thanks all for staying involved in the GDC meet a mentor events, great that we’re now entering our fourth year of this program and I’m proud to see it’s still going strong - thanks Maggie for taking it on. I’m actually now looking to do a similar thing for other business careers which is why I’m writing to you about this. I’d appreciate any help and introductions I can get on this.

I’m trying to organise a coffee/mentoring session to help grads figure out their career options and the career paths they could follow initially I’m looking to organise this around digital/social media marketing. It will only be for a handful of grads that are looking to work in the digital marketing/social media marketing space but need a bit of guidance in terms of what careers are available, the difference between them and the best things to do to get a good job. In an ideal world I’m looking for 2-3 experienced people that are happy to talk through their career journeys, the highs and lows and any mistakes they have made and can then tell it from the other side of the fence and answer questions from the grads.

My plan (as always) is to help grads understand more about the career options that are available and become more passionate and inspired about working in their industry. I’m anticipating this will be something in Central London, 45-60 minutes at lunch or in one evening and ideally at some point over the next week. I’m not really that well connected in this space so any help, direction or introductions to awesome/nice people would be amazing.
