Really cool project!
I am working on a project to build reports of which of our users ar in
which groups. (Google apps educational) I am building the reports ok
and saving them as a text file but am having trouble getting over
writing/replacing the old doc. Still learning the gdata thing.

If I have a local folder of text documents that I want to upload and
replace if necessary to a google folder. How do I do this in
gdatacopier?

Thanks
Vincent

Hi Vincent,

GDataCopier does not do this at the moment. This is lodged as a
feature request and we intend to work on this on the forth coming
versions.

Basically the issue is that Google Docs does not identify the Document
with the Document title, and hence you can have two documents with the
same title. To facilitate an update we have to maintain a local list
of document identifiers so we know the document id for each uploaded
file.

Making a generic solution is a little difficult, since we have to
consider multiple platforms.

However if you are willing to write a little bit of Python and build a
custom solution for yourself, it should be a relatively simple script
to write.

Feel free to post any questions you have, we are more than willing to
share ideas :)

Thanks for trying out / using GDataCopier.
