I'm pasting markdown into my Google Doc, what is the best way to convert the raw text markdown into formatted text in the gDoc?

Google Docs has some Markdown support, but it only works if you're typing Markdown in the doc itself, not if you paste in Markdown text.
If you render the Markdown as a web page and paste that into the doc, it might work better.

Buy Brett Terpstra's app Marked 2. It's fantastic and will export Word and other formats.
