In my wordpress sites I usually see the names of people next to their
comments. In another plugin I used in the past for voting, I would see
those real names (rather than "just" IPs) in my admin interface, when
I looked at the voting overview. As most of my visitors are return
visitors, this was very useful to identify those voting 10 for their
own and 1 for other articles.

With GD ratings I seem to be limited to looking at IP addresses, the
system doesn't make a link with the names of those who commented (I
guess a cookie).

Is there any way to enable this? Maybe I just didn't get this in the
French translation?

Any help or advice appreciated.

Frederic.

If the user is registered, logs will show the user name of the voter.
If you use the comment integration for ratings, than connection
between the commenter and his vote exists, but is not used anywhere
right now. But if you expect to track some visitor how clicked on the
rating block somewhere, than you only have their IP. If you need
something more, explain what features do you use and what do you need
to see.

I don't want to oblige my visitors to register for the moment. So it
would be really great if I could still track them even though they are
"just" visitors. In WP-Ratings (?) I still got the names they had
left comments at. It would be really nice if this could be possible
with your much more comprehensive plugin, too...

Cheers,
Frederic
