I am interested in gaining access to the real time data feed from the GCP. My idea is to create something like the "basketobserver" applet, but using modern technologies like Javascript and HTML5 instead of Java. This leads me to ask if the  (Java) source code of the basket observer applet is available ? Although I am not using Java, having a look at the code can make porting to javascript much easier.
I cannot promise anything soon because I am very busy, but I really would like to see the GCP site being "off Java" and more mobile friendly. I saw discussions mentioning "Processing" as a means to present GCP data. The good news is that there is now a javascript library called p5.js that is a port of processing functionality to javascript.
all the best and two thumbs up,
Mark

I also have this interest.  I will have need of real-time data to feed to my World Happiness Meter (WHM) web app, but I need the data on the back end to do correlations with WHM data and with databases of well-being surveys by country.  I use Python and Javascript.

The GCP data are available for people who want to do real-time analysis, but it requires building scripts or programs that use the basic functions provided by GCP to create the customized access appropriate for the application. Of course it is necessary to follow good citizenship principles and avoid heavy bandwidth usage.
