This is an exciting time for me personally and for the entire planet. And while I am a newbie with the Global Consciousness Project I am no stranger to the intricate mysteries of human consciousness. Roger’s invitation to join this group gives me an opportunity to continue exploring those mysteries. I have a million questions about all of this and off course the answers from scientific investigation produces a plethora of possibilities. And one of those possibilities is that there may not be any such thing as a random event.

Welcome Rocco, and everyone else who is a member of this group. I hope it will be a successful experiment in allowing or providing an opportunity for many people to contribute to making the GCP more interesting and more valuable and useful. I can imagine lots of possibilities, but the gcpwork group is designed to let your imagination take the stage. Most of my time is taken for logistics and primary management, but there are so many questions to ask and creative applications to develop -- so, here we are with the beginning of a new way to get good things done.

First questions might be how to make this list function well. It is set to allow everyone post, and a few people to manage the structure. We probably will want themes or categories of posts, so we can build toward products. There are other questions of this nature, and I invite those of you with more experience to help set up a good working facility. Enough for now. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi Rocco, I have created a discussion about randomness. I hope to see what you have to say about it.
Kind regards,
Alix

I just received a Facebook message that I think is a nice example of possibilities, good questions at least.

"I was a fan of this project shortly after 9/11 when it was featured on TV. I long forgot the name of the Project until a recent episode of Through the Wormhole showcased your work. I was happy to find you again!

"It seems we can do little to surmise or theorize the how/why these spikes in random data occur save for a possible telepathic precognitive awareness. Aside from that, we might venture further by asking a set of bigger questions; it might lead us to bigger discoveries. For example:

"1. Assume for a moment there is a telepathic/precognitive awareness shared by all human beings. Evolved and perfected, the whole experience might be likened to an organ, tissue, (et al) that performs a specific task for the good of a higher consciousness. If that is the case- what is our task? I think the data signals you are getting are relatively weak because we are not quite refined (evolutionarily challenged) in our task.

"2. If humans were able to sense a particular event, it would stand to reason the data wold support this not only with random generators, but through the highest, most effortless form of communication we currently use- technology. I wonder if there is a way we could see similar spikes in mobile phone usage, internet (social media), etc just BEFORE these events.

"At any rate, thanks for the work you do. It's a wonderful project!
Michael."
