GCP/EGG Update April 6 2012

It has been a long time since I sent an Update announcement. I could
explain how busy I've been, but I think the long hiatus is perhaps more
a result of internal questioning than of external pressures. After all,
we know that if you want something to be done, you should look for the
busy person to assign the task.

I'm actually sending this note prematurely, just because I want to be in
touch. There are still three or four items I want to write about in the
current update, but it will be several more days before I get to them.
