As you may know, the GCP grew out of my experience as part of the
Princeton Engineering Anomalies Research (PEAR) team at Princeton
University. The technology we use has its historical roots in the
experiments at PEAR. When the lab closed, its work continued at the
International Consciousness Research Laboratories (ICRL), and ICRL
became the home of PEAR's elegantly designed equipment.
I am forwarding a letter from Bob Jahn and Brenda Dunne about a
Kickstarter campaign to support a suitable home for that equipment.
Many of you will likely be interested in helping with this project.
Dear PEAR and ICRL Friends,
ICRL has embarked on a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a
PEAR
museum, to be housed in our ICRL headquarters. Our goal is to
reassemble and reconfigure the various PEAR experimental devices
to
create a permanent working display. As those of you who visited
the
PEAR laboratory know, all of these machines were not only
precision
instrumented, but all of them embodied attractive feedback
displays as
well,
We are seeking to raise $35,000 to defray the costs of hiring
skilled
hardware, software, and electronics specialists to update the
hardware
and operational software, as well as a professional carpenter to
make
some modest alterations to the new space in which they will be
housed. This project is anticipated to take approximately one
year
to complete.
Our Kickstarter campaign will begin immediately and will run for
45
days. We encourage you to participate in this exciting project by
going to
Kickstarter
campaign
and
making a
contribution. And tell your friends.
.
Many thanks for your support,
Bob and Brenda
