ELECTION TIME
| Election time is here everyone. PLEASE CLICK HERE TO VOTE OR FOLLOW THE LINK BELOW. The link also includes information from each candidate. Voting ends April 5th, 2013 at 5pm.
The
following positions are up for election this year: President-Elect,
Treasurer, Secretary, Faculty Member-at-Large, Technical College System
of Georgia (TCSG) Member-at-Large, and University System of Georgia
(USG) Member-at-Large.
DESCRIPTIONS:
President-Elect: The
President-Elect shall participate in activities relating to preparation
for the presidency. The President-Elect shall perform the duties of the
President in the absence of or incapacity of the President.
[President-Elect
is a 3-year term as this elected individual moves automatically from
President-Elect to President to Past President.]
Treasurer: The
Treasurer shall represent the Association in assuring the receipt and
expenditure of funds in accordance with the directives established by
the Executive Board and shall be bonded as determined by the Executive
Board.
[Treasurer is a 2-year term]
Secretary: The
Secretary shall keep minutes of all meetings at which the Association
officers preside and shall conduct the correspondence for the
Association as requested by the President. A copy of all minutes shall
be forwarded to the President within one week of the the meeting.
[Secretary is a 1-year term]
Member-at-Large Positions: The
Member-at-Large is a change to the former Sector Representative
positions. These positions represent their constituent group to the
board and serve as a liaison between the board and their respective
constituency.

GEORGIA JOURNAL CALL FOR PROGRAMS
| ![]() The
Georgia Journal of College Student Affairs, an online, peer-reviewed,
yearly publication, invites submission of manuscripts for the 2013
edition. The theme for the 2013 issue is Achievement and Wellness in
Higher Education and Student Affairs Instructions for submitting a manuscript: Submission Requirements - Submission
of manuscripts will be accepted from March 1 through June 30,
2013. The author(s) will be notified in approximately 4-6 weeks of
the acceptance results.
- Submissions
may be a minimum of 1,500 words in length. The length of
manuscripts is limited to a maximum of 5000 words in length because
the editors are committed to increasing the accessibility of the
journal to a wide range of authors. Please consult the editors for
manuscripts that have less than 1,500 words or more than 5000
words.
- Manuscripts must adhere to the American Psychological Association (APA) (6th edition) format.
- Spacing
and Fonts: Double-spaced, including references, consistently
applied throughout the manuscript. Times New Roman with 12 point
throughout.
- Submissions must include a 75-100 word abstract.
- Submissions are to be in Microsoft Word or a Word-compatible word-processing program and electronically submitted to:

- The author(s) name(s) must not appear on the manuscript to facilitate a blind peer review by the editorial board.
- Submissions
must include a separate cover page containing the author'(s)
name(s), professional title, highest degree, institutional
affiliation, mailing address, email address, telephone number, and
fax number.
- The cover page
or an email should include a sentence by the author(s) authorizing
permission to publish the manuscript.
- No manuscript will be considered that has been published in another publication.
- No compensation is made for articles published in the Journal.
