Dear Colleagues,

I hope that you will join the Georgia College Personnel Association (GCPA) for our annual conference in just a few weeks. As a higher education administrator, I believe that it is incredibly important for all of us to seek out professional development opportunities that allow us to engage, motivate and uplift each other in our work. The theme for the 44th annual conference is “Finding the Sweet Spot: Achievement and Wellness in Student Affairs.”  We believe that our colleagues will leave this conference feeling empowered, engaged, and energized. This very inexpensive conference will be held at the Cunningham Center of Columbus State University from February 6th-8th, 2013.  For registration, please click on the photo of the Cunningham Center at the bottom of this email or go to http://www.eventbrite.com/event/3815518318#.

It is also essential for new professionals and graduate students to be able to benefit from our experiences. This year, our annual conference has a theme close to my heart and we have dynamic presenters and colleagues that will ensure a rich dialogue and inspiring meeting. We are also excited to honor the Executive Director of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA), Greg Roberts for his consistent leadership of the national office.

I also would like to remind you about free professional development webcasts that are beginning this week. Please remember that you can register for these opportunities here!

Sincerely,

Kijua Sanders-McMurtry, Ph.D.
