| Greetings! The GCPA Conference Program Committees invites you to help us discover the "sweet spot" of our profession at the 44th annual conference at Columbus State University from Wednesday, February 6th to Friday, February 8th, 2013. To this end, we are calling for program and poster submissions that may encourage and motivate participants to incorporate wellness in their lives as student affairs practitioners. We are also interested in proposals related to research that examines best practices for improving success and wellness among students. These practices could include reporting on topics related to broader student issues of mental and physical health, social identities, and leadership development within the context of the theme. We strongly encourage the submission of proposals that explore the following questions: - How do student affairs practitioners incorporate wellness practices into their daily lives?
- What is the "sweet spot" of achieving success in student affairs while maintaining a balanced life?
- How do we identify significant support services to improve wellness among our students?
- What best practices exist that include the integration of wellness into programming targeting students?
The conference committee seeks 60-minute programs on various topics that address wellness issues for the higher education community. We also welcome poster presentations that highlight successful wellness programs implemented on your campuses or describe research that is related to the theme of success or wellness in higher education. |
