Dear Colleagues,
I wanted to share with you a new research study that will be a great contribution to the field of Student Affairs research. I’ve reviewed and complete the survey myself and I would like to encourage you to do so as well.

RE: Doctoral Research Study – Please Participate
Dear Colleague,
I am a doctoral student at The University of Georgia under the direction of Dr. Laura Bierema. I am conducting a quantitative research study to better understand attrition of student affairs professionals, which is consistently reported as high. Specifically, I am interested in examining the relationship between work-life balance of these professionals and voluntary turnover intentions. In addition, an examination of job satisfaction and job embeddedness will be conducted.
You have been selected to pilot test a national survey that will eventually be sent to NASPA and ACPA memberships. Your participation in this pilot study will be greatly appreciated. It consists of 92 questions and will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Your responses are confidential and all answers will be compiled using quantitative survey techniques. The pilot data will be included in the national study.
Follow this link to the Survey or copy and paste the URL below into your internet browser:

If you have any questions or concerns about this study, please feel free to contact me or my dissertation advisor (Dr. Laura Bierema, bie...@uga.edu) at any time. Thanks for your time and participation.
Appreciatively,
Thomas D. Miles
