[Google Cloud] Kubernetes Engine - Release Notes |
Posted: 24 Jun 2022 12:00 AM PDT SecurityThree new memory corruption vulnerabilities (CVE-2022-29581, CVE-2022-29582, CVE-2022-1116) have been discovered in the Linux kernel. These vulnerabilities allow an unprivileged user with local access to the cluster to achieve a full container breakout to root on the node. All Linux clusters (Container-Optimized OS and Ubuntu) are affected. For more information, refer to the GCP-2022-016 security bulletin. FeatureYou can now create dual-stack clusters in GKE versions 1.24.1-gke.1000 and later. With dual-stack networking, GKE assigns an IPv4 and an IPv6 address to the cluster nodes and Pods. You can create dual-stack Services of type ClusterIP or NodePort. This feature is now available in Preview. For more information, see the Dual-stack networking. |
