Greetings, users of Hadoop on Google Cloud Platform!

Unfortunately, we’ve discovered that the updated bdutil-0.34.0 still did not correctly attach and format persistent disks. To alleviate confusion, we’ve pushed a now-complete fix for the issue to a new release version, bdutil-0.34.1.tar.gz and bdutil-0.34.1.zip, and updated the developer documentation to now point to 0.34.1 as the latest release. The old links to version 0.34.0 have now been disabled, and you will receive a 404 when trying to use the old links.

If you intend to use use attached persistent disks, we strongly recommend downloading the latest bdutil-0.34.1.tar.gz or bdutil-0.34.1.zip at your earliest convenience.

Once again, our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused, and as always, please send any questions or comments to gcp-hadoo...@google.com

All the best,

Your Google Team
