We are planning to integrate cloudprint into our web based application.  It seems to work rather reliably (except for the same random offline issues others have).

The problem I am trying to address is that it seems 50% of the time, when using the API directly, the samsung printer spits about an error:
PWG ERROR - Incomplete Session by time out
POISITION: 0x6ed (1773) -- This changes depending on what is being printed --
SYSTEM: h6fwsim/os_hook
LINE: 1590
VERSION: SPL 5.84 01-16-2014
ERROR CODE: 11-1112

Printer:Xpress M2020W (SL-M2020W/XAA)

I am using a very simple configuration - I have sent all kinds of content with the same result (PDFs, HTML, text).
I'm just using a default ticket: "ticket": [
    "{\r\n \"version\": \"1.0\",\r\n \"print\": {}\r\n}"

its just so strange that it fails 50% of the time. I'm not sure if this is an issue with google or samsung. Of course, samsung says its google.

Anyone seen this?

I'm not certain, but this might be related to the issue Samsung printers had while handling aggressively chunked HTTP responses. Is your printer running their latest firmware?

Unfortunately, there are no firmware updates for this printer since it is fairly new.  Perhaps this is just a hardware issue and I'll need to wait.  Samsung has offered to replace the printer, but I somehow doubt its a problem with the specific device.

Yes it appears to be a problem with a lot of Samsung's new models, maybe that is why they've taken all the Google Cloud Print promo material off their web site for these models.

My Issue:

Xpress M2070fw

SL-M2070FA/XSA

SN 074XB8KF4A00HW

I’ve installed the product and connected it to our Wi-Fi.  It work with the Win 7 computer (PC driver) and iPhone via iPrint.

The trouble we are having is will the Google Cloud Printer Service:

I’ve managed to successfully register the printer with our cloud print account, but whenever we print from a number of different devices via cloud print it comes up with the same error:

pwg error - incomplete session by time out

position:0xa5b (2651)

System:h6fwsim/os_hook

line:1543

version:spl 5.73 06-16-2013

error code: 11-1112

This error occurs when printing web pages, pft, images, docs files, any item I’ve attempted to print.

I have done an uninstall and reinstall from 2 different computers.   I have also update the firmware to the latest version on the Samsung website.  The error has occurred when printing from both my Win 7 PC and Chromebook and even when files are directly uploaded through the Cloud Print web site.  The printer has worked without issue with all other features it is only Cloud Print that has this issue.

The printer is an Australian modem purchased 06 Aug 2014.

Good news!

There is new firmware available for this printer and also a new driver (as of this morning).  And it works!

That's great. If I only have a chromebox, how do I get the new firmware onto the printer?

borrow a windows machine.

The software is for the windows machine. I don't think it's anything that helps cloud print capabilities. I just downloaded and installed there is no difference in the number of PWG ERROR messages I get when trying to print from the cloud via the chromebox, unfortunately.

Did you do the firmware update?
Downloads -> Firmware -> Zip

It will install a new firmware on the printer itself.

Oh, I didn't see that. I've tried to upload the zip though synchru's upgrade wizard but it tells me that it is invalid.

How do upload it?

Cheers!

Sorry - same as before, you have to unzip the zip file on a windows computer, its an exe installer.  I don't know how to install it directly.

Thanks, this fixed it for me. FWIW I was able to update the firmware using the .exe with Wine on OSX Yosemite.
