The same problem started for me with a Samsung M2880FW printer.  I took the same corrective actions with the same results.

Hello,
I had two seperate Samsung Xpress M2020W added to my google cloud print via the Samsung "SyncThru" web interface. They were working fine until a few days ago they stopped connecting properly.. they were "offline" but still connnected and then i tried to remove them and re-add them to my account and now I get "Fail with error. Please try again after a few minutes" on the samsung interface and try to deregister and it doesn't work the button does nothing. I contacted Samsung support with this error and it didn't help and they told me to contact google's support. There is a test connection button on the web interface also and it passes everything including XMPP and contacting the google server.
Thanks for any help,
Mike Churchill

I have the same error too with my Samsung M2020W, but the test connection fails always in the second step - could not connect to talk.google.com ...
My XMPP Ports are open in the Firewall and it worked already - sometimes i had to deregister the printer and register it new, but this is not possible anymore. The printer could not be deregisterd anymore, cause the connect to talk.google.com fails.

We have been informed of this problem with Google Cloud Print. There seems to be an error somewhere and we are testing this on our machines for anything we can do to solve this issue.

I have the exact same problem with my Samsung SL-C1810W printer.

Exact same message for me "Fail with Error. Please try again after few minutes." Haven't been able to use google cloud print at all with my new m2022w. It is registered no problem and can create a print job but it gets "queued" forever.

I also ran into this problem since a couple days. Impossible to get it back to work with google cloud print with the same error: Fail with Error. Please try again after few minutes.

Turns out, there is a firmware update available on the Samsung website. It cannot be installed via the web interface for some strange reason, only via windows or mac os utility and only worked via USB cable in my case.

Anyhow, right after installing the firmware update the printer reconnected to google cloud print and is back in business like before. Was I lucky or is this firmware update necessary to keep GCP working with this model? It's worth a shot.

Started working for me, didn't apply firmware update. Although now I can't access sync thru web, but maybe it just needs a restart.

Now this is interesting...

So, having seen your reply, I once again applied the latest firmware to my SL-C18180W printer.  I have done this several times before and it made no difference.  But this morning, it immediately allowed me to register the printer to GCP and now it works fine.

I didn't use a USB cable, I applied it thru the SyncThru Web Service over Wi-Fi from Linux.
