OLPC Local Group and OSDC Gold Coast Bid

Sorry for all the 4 and 5 letter acronyms in this mail...

Hi All

At the Gold Coast Barcamp yesterday I announced the local OLPC (One Laptop Per Child) developer group that is forming and that I will be getting 5 developer laptops for local developers to contribute to the project.

A few of us also decided that we are going to make a bid for the OSDC (Open Source Developers Conference) on the Gold Coast in 2010 and also possibly even a bid for LCA (Linux Conference Australia) in 2011 or beyond.
