We have received a few questions regarding the logistics of the final day of the Google Code-in contest so I wanted to go ahead and clarify the deadlines for everyone.

Students Submit Final Tasks
In order for their work to count toward the final point totals and number of completed tasks in the contest, students must submit their completed work to the Google Code-in site by January 17 at 0800 UTC (11:59:59pm PT on January 16), as listed in the Terms of Service [0]. Any work submitted after this time will not be counted in the point and task totals for prizes.

Claim Final Task
The last time a student can claim a task is January 16 at 0800 UTC (which is basically 11:59:59 pm PT January 15).

Submitting forms
All forms will need to be submitted by January 17 at 0800 UTC (which is 11:59:59 pm PT January 16) when the contest officially ends if you want to be in the first round of prize shipments. Your forms must be one of the types of forms listed here [1], we will not accept other types of documents. If you do not submit your forms by the January 17th deadline you have until February 7th to submit them to receive your prizes in the final shipment.

Org admin/mentors submit final review of work
Org admins and mentors will have 24 hours to review the work after the final submission deadline. Org admins/mentors must submit their review of the final tasks by January 18 at 0800 UTC (11:59:59 pm PT on January 17).

Good luck to all of you in these last few days of the contest!

Best,
Stephanie

Hello,

Claim Final Task
The last time a student can claim a task is January 16 at 0800 UTC (which is basically 11:59:59 pm PT January 15).

Can I get clarification on one thing?  Is this the last point that a claim request can be put in, or the last point that a claim request can be accepted?

This deadline is for the student to request a
claim on the task. The mentors/org admins can still assign the task to the student even after the task claim deadline has passed, until "Review deadline".

Best,
Stephanie
