Claudius finds out that Polonius is dead, and sends Hamlet's friends
to find him and see where he put the body, but Hamlet won't tell them.
Ophelia goes crazy and starts singing about her father, and Laertes
finds out that Polonius is dead and about Ophelia, and gets really
angry. Hamlet was sent to England at the beginning of this act, and it
says that it was an attempt by Claudius to kill Hamlet, but I don't
understand how he was suppose to die. He sends a letter to Claudius
that he's coming back, and Cladius and Laertes devise another plan to
kill him. While they're talking, they find out that Ophelia drowned.
One thing I'm not sure of is Claudius' hate for Hamlet. Does he figure
out from the play that Hamlet wants to kill him, making Claudius want
to kill Hamlet before he can kill him?

In act 4 claudius finds out that hamlet killed polonius and sends 2
people to get get him. Hamlet hides polonius's body and then later
tells them where it is. Laertes come and is really mad by the death
of his father and he and claudius devise a plan to kill hamlet with a
duel and poison drink. Ophelia dies from drowning and laertes is even
more pissed off and really wants his revenge.

Machiavellianism in this book could be when claudius kills his brother
because he wanted to become king and have his bro's wife. Also hamlet
would die just as long as he gets to kill claudius and get his
revenge.

So far in this act hamlet gets taken by claudius's men for killing
polonius and is sent to denmark to be killed. Ophelia has gone crazy
with her fathers death and eventually drowns herself. laertes then
goes to claudius and is really mad and he and claudius plan to kill
hamlet once they find out that he is coming back.

Machivaellianism:

Hamlet will do anything to get revenge for his father and will even
die as long as he kills claudius

In this act claudius has guys go get hamlet for killing polonius and
then have him sent to denmark to be killed. He somehow doesn't get
killed and is sent back and claudius and laretes make a pact to kill
him in a duel that will be fought with a poisoned sword and a poison
drink after. Ophelia also dies.

Machiaellianism is where you do whatever it takes to get what you
want. Claudius kills his brother just to become king and get his
wife.

In this act the king finds out that Hamlet kills P and he has him sent
to England. Lateaus comes back and finds out that his father was
killed and he wants revenge. Ophelia goes crazy and sings a lot and
later drowns. The king and Lateaus make a plan to kill Hamlet. Hamlet
sends letters to the king and queen telling them that he was captured
by pirates but I don't think that he even went on the ship in the
first place.

And for an example of that M thing at the end of the scene when Hamlet
is about to go on the ship he says that from that point on he doesn't
care about anything, but killing the king.

but he will not tell them where he laid polonius to rest. Laterus
thinks that the king killed his father but is told that Hamlet did and
they conspire to kill Hamlet. First they send him back to England but
he comes home so they plot to use poision. first with a poisoined

One of the things I find interesting in this act is that Claudius
takes zero responsibility for what is going on. He may have felt
despair in act III, but if he really felt bad about his actions he
should have resigned from king that instant. Now in act IV Hamlet
kills Polonius because he was snooping on his conversation with his
mother. This in turn, was brought about because King Hamlet's ghost
wanted revenge on Claudius.

After Claudius learns of Polonius' death he doesn't feel worse about
the ramifications of his actions, but instead he punishes Hamlet by
sending him to England to be killed. Because of this, I don't think
Claudius even has a conscious. Claudius' actions only add more fuel to
the flames of politicians and their scumbag agendas. This is why I'm
voting Cthulhu for president next Tuesday. Because why settle for the
lesser of two evils?

Cthulhu for Pres! Cthulhu wants YOU!

Hamlet is sent to England because he says that Claudius was to kill
Hamlet.
Claudius learns that Polonius is dead, and trys to get Hamlet's
friends to find out
where the body lay. But Hamlet acts crazy and wont tell them.
Ophelia dies by drowning, and Hamlet writes Claudius a letter
saying he is coming back. Claudius and Laertes try to make up a plan
to kill Hamlet when he returns.
Why does Claudius hate Hamlet? Did he learn something from the play
that made him want Hamlet dead?

Machiavellianism is when you do what ever it takes to get what you
want. An example could be Claudius
killing Hamlet so he could be king and marry his brother's wife.

When Claudius finds out Hamlet killed Polonious, he is more worried
about himself than he is about Gertrude. I think this proves he
married Gertrude to look better than for actual love. If he did love
her he would have been worried about her safety and not his, even
though he wasn't there. I'm kinda confused about him coming back
becuase it doesn't really example it that well. Claudius also wants to
protect his image and I think that's why he sends Hamlet to England
instead of having him killed in his own town.

clever of Hamlet to say to confuse Rosencrantz and Guildenstern.

understand why claudius wants hamlet dead, but think that he is
causeing a lot of trouble and just wants him gone.

in this chapter what i picked up on most was a very eye opening thing.
When hamlet is talking to Claudius about poloniou's body he stated
that this is how a king could wind up in a beggars body. He could have
just stated that polonious could wind up there but he made a literal
injection to claudius and really changed my thinking.
