and his uncle the new king are worried about him, so they send 2 of
his friends from college to talk to him and try to figure out whats
going on with hamlet. that doesn't work very well, so they were going
to set up a trap with the girl he liked. so they started planning the

In Act II Hamlet tries to set his uncle Claudius is a trap. He makes
a play and thinks that if his uncle is guilty for killing his father,
he will go and put the poison in the pretend kings ear and kill him
just like he did to Hamlet's father. Hamlet doesn't know whether to
believe if the ghost is really his father or if it is the devil. He
also doesn't know if the ghost is telling the truth or if he is just
mad and is not telling the truth of who killed him.

Act II was a little harder to follow... All I think happened was that
Hamlet started acting weird, and Polonius thinks he is crazy. Ophelia
and Hamlet have some sort of altercation, and she refuses to see him
for a while.

Hamlet makes his own play. He thinks he can figure out whether or not
Claudius really killed his father or not. He watches Claudius while
the play is performed and if his uncle twitches while seeing what is
being played out. He would have killed King Hamlet.

Act 2 Hamlet set his plans into motion and knows he is being watched
so he goes "mad" and sets up a play with a troupe of actors that he
is friends with to show his uncle's guilt of murder.

I didn't follow act 2 as well.. I got that Hamlet made a play, kinda
as a trap for his uncle, to see whether or not Claudius killed King
Hamlet. His uncle doesn't sit very well through the play. And to me
thats an act of suspision.

Hamlet makes his own play. He says that if his uncle twitches or
anything while he is watching the play, he will know that he killed
King Hamlet. Hamlet starts acting weird in this Act. He has 2 college
friends that come to visit him. They are trying to help him with his
attitude and emotions.

Hamlet is acting weird so his mother and uncle/father ask two of his
long time friends to come visit him to see if they can figure out why
he is still acting weird. Polonius is trying to convince he king and
queen that Hamlet is madly in love with his daughter Ophelia. Some
little actor kids come and do a little speech thing and Hamlet asks
them to do another play the next day. I didn't really understand that
part.

In this act hamlet gets confronted by ophelia to see if his madness
was because of the love notes. He also discovers the players and
wants them to reinact the murder of his father. He wants to see the
expression on Cluadius's face when it happens.

So far all that happens in this act is that hamlet gets confronted by
the girl because they all think he is crazy and thinks its because of
love. Also in this act hamlet finds out about the players and wants
to have them make a play to make claudius really guilty

act 2 hamlet starts act crazy. the new king send some of hamlets
friends to watch him and see if its real or not. Mrs. lebo was asking
us if we think it is for real or not. I think that he is acting now
but if you act your part long enough you start to become it. Hamlet
recognizes right away that the king sent these people to spy on him.

This as hard to follow, but from what I got was that everyone was
worried about Hamlet because he was acting crazy, but I guess I didn't
follow it that well because I don't understand how he was acting
crazy. Claudius and his mother send people to spy after him, even
though Hamlet knows it.

Why would Hamlet purposely act crazy?

in this act hamlet kind of starts to act crazy. the new king sends
people to spy on hamlet and see if he's pretending to be crazy or if
he's really not. hamlet knows this so he has to act crazy all the time
and not let on that he's not. he treats ophelia poorly because he
knows that people are watching and he can't let his guard down for a
second, even with her.

because he has to act insane all the time so people believe him,
ophelia's dad and brother warn her to stay away from him and then when
he treats her like that she tells him and he thinks because opelia
isn't being with him he has gone love mad. his mom and king claudious
are worried and send his friends to kind of watch him. performers come
to town and hamlet wants to write his own play about the murder and
perform it infront of the town and claudious to see if what the ghost
of his dad said is true. it is his way of testing them and also seeing

In act 2 I think Revenge would be a good theme because it would relate
to hamlet's play. Hamlet's play basically tells Ophelia that if you
even sniffle during the play. I know your lying.

In act 2, it was a little confusing. Hamlet is almost going crazy.
Ophelia doesn't want to see Hamlet because her brother warned her
about him. He then goes and creates his own play to see for sure if
his uncle really did murder his father. I wonder what Hamlet will do
if his uncle actually did murder Hamlet's father?

In act 2 Claudius and Gertrude call in 2 guys that are really good
friends of Hamlets and ask them to try to figure out what is wrong
with him. Polonius talks to Ophelia and thinks that Hamlet is crazy
because Ophelia sent back his letters and told him not to talk to her
or visit her anymore. Polonius told Ophelia not to waste her time with
Hamlet and she followed his orders. The Norway messengers return and
bring good news that the king callled Fortinbras and his troops off.
The king of Norway still wants permission to pass through Denmark to
go invade Poland. But he tells them they won't invade Denmark and that
they'll be fine. Polonius and Hamlet talk and then Hamlet and his 2
friends talk.
