in act 3 a play goes on and it acts out the scene of when the king was
killed and it was set up by hamlet to see the reactions of the new
king to see if he really did kill king hamlet. he finds out that it
was claudius because he had to leave the play and go to his room by
himself. hamlet thought this was his chance to kill claudius, so he
sneaked up behind him and found him in prayer, so hamlet couldn't kill
claudius yet. he had to wait till claudius was doing something sinful,
then he would kill him.

Act 3 is about the play that Hamlet wrote. Hamlet tells the actors to
watch Cladius' reaction to the play. After the play, the Queen and
Hamlet talk, and the Queen asks Polonius to spy to see what Hamlet
says. Hamlet hears something, and thinks Cladius is in his mom's room,
and gets mad. He kills Polonius, thinking it's Cladius. The ghost
enters, but the Queen doesn't see it. I didn't understand why she
couldn't see it.

Jordan's mention of finding Claudius in prayer is very significant
(deals with the theme of redemption). Compare this to what the ghost
of King Hamlet told Hamlet about his own death and what he was denied.

Hamlet continued the play that he made to see who killed his father.
It ended up being Cladius because his guilt was so bad that he had to
leave. He then wants to kill Cladius but he goes to his room and he is
in prayer. He can't kill him when he is praying because he wants to
kill him while he is commiting a sin so he goes to hell.

Claudius is in prayer because after the reenactment of King Hamlet's
death he feels somewhat remorseful of his actions. Hamlet
passes by and ponders the act of killing him then, but he can't
because praying for forgiveness somehow cancels out bad deeds and if
he was to kill him, Claudius would then go to heaven. Apparently this
isn't what Hamlet wants, so he lets him live.

This situation is contrasted by King Hamlet's death, in that he did
not get a chance to confess his sins before he was murdered. What
difference would it make if he did? I don't know.

Act 3 is about the play that Hamlet wrote. As the play is going on the
player are suppose to watch Claudius to see what his reactions are. He
ends up going up to his room alone so Hamlet decides that he was the
killer of his father. Hamlet and and the Queen are talking while
Polonius is hiding that way he can spy on Hamlet to see what he says.
It was the Queen's request for him to do it. Hamlet can hear him and
thinks that it is Claudius so he kills him, turns out it was Polonius
that he killed. Hamlet asks his mother to not go back to Claudius's
bed and to stay away from him.

In act 3 the play is shown to claudius. He gets up and yells for the
lights when he sees the poison being poured in the ear. Claudius was
praying when hamlet was about to kill him but decided not to because
he wasn't doing anything sinful. He then goes to his mothers room and
accidentally kills polonius.

was hamlet going crazy in his moms room and why didn't he kill
claudius?

In act 3 they all watch hamlets play and the king and queen do not
like it. After the play the king tells Hamlet's mom to talk to hamlet.
The king is praying to god in hopes of him forgiving him. Hamlets
could have killed him but he did not. Hamlet goes and tells his mother
that he knows and she thinks that he is going to kill him so she calls
for help and the P guy jumps out of a tree or something and Hamlet
stabs him. The ghost comes and talks to Hamlet and his mom but his mom
cant hear or see the ghost. Hamlets agrees to go to England and they
drag P's body away.

in act three Hamlet puts on the play and Claudius is upset and thinks
that Hamlets insane is now dangerous and wants to send him to England.
Hamlet talks to his mother and Polonius is listening behind the
curtains and makes a noise and Hamlet stabs him thinking it is
Claudius. Hamlet tried killing Claudius but could not because he was
praying and would send him to heaven which would not be a good enough
revenge for what he did.

There are many examples of machiavellianism in Hamlet. Claudius kills
Hamlet to be king, Hamlet (the son) kills Claudius to avenge both his
parents, Laertes kills Hamlet to avenge his father and sister. None of
them thought twice about killing someone just to get what they wanted,
which makes them good examples.

Act III is about Hamlet's play he writes. The play was to stage
Claudius and make him feel bad for killing his father and have him
show that he did it. Claudius runs away from the play and goes up to
his room. This shows that he did in fact kill King Hamlet. He is
praying when Hamlet comes to kill him. Hamlet wants Claudius to go to
hell so he doesn't kill him while he is praying because he would go to
heaven. Does the queen believe that Claudius is the killer of her
husband? The ghost says that she had cheated on him before with his
brother but Hamlet doesn't know. Did she fall in love with Claudius
before King Hamlet had died? Was she in on the plan to kill her own
husband? The machiavilism is when Claudius wants to send Hamlet away
to England. I think that is how he wants to get his power. Claudius
wants to send him away so that he stays out of his mother and his
uncle's business.

In act 3 Hamlet shows all of the people including the king the play
that he wrote to see if the king actually did kill his father. During
the play, his uncle left the play so Hamlet knew that he was guilty of
killing his father. Hamlet followed his uncle up to his room and was
going to kill him but he was praying so he decided to wait until
another time. The queen and Hamlet were talking and Hamlet saw the
ghost but the queen could not see it for some reason. The queen tells
Hamlet he should go to England. His uncle shows Machiavellianism
because he does whatever he can to become king. He kills Hamlet's
father to become king and marry his mother. He did whatever it took to
get what he wanted.

Hamlet writes the play and sees how Claudius reacts. When they
actually have the play Claudius is no where to be found so Hamlet
finds him in his room to kill him. He is about to do it, but he is
praying and he wants to do it at a time when he's sinning. They show
machiavellianism when Claudius kills king Hamlet to become the king

Hamlet continues to act crazy. Hamlet talks to his mother and they
talk about why he is going crazy. Hamlet writes a play about what
Claudius did to King Hamlet and had traveling actors act it out.
Hamlet had a friend watch Claudius's reactions to see if he infact
killed Hamlet's dad. Then Hamlet kills Polineous because he thought it
was Claudius.

Hamlet sets up a play in which it acts out what he thinks happened to
his dad. which was Claudius killing him. He has Horatio help him watch
Claudius' reaction. Hamlet is being very rude to Ophelia, he had told
her to go to an nunnery, then makes all these sexual comments to her.
When Claudius leaves the play because he is upset, Hamlet goes to kill
him but he is in prayer and decides it's not a good time to kill him.

I don't really understand why he is being a jerk to Ophelia, even if
someone was watching, he doesn't have to be a jerk, he just don't have
to say anything.

Act 3 seemed like it kind of went on and I didn't understand a lot.
What I did get out of it was that Hamlet's play was performed. Revenge
seems like a big role in this act because Hamlet is trying to catch

trying to watch their back and trying to be the most powerful out of
everyone.

I noticed in act 3, Hamlet is talking more so in poem form. I think
he's hitting depression hard. I don't really blame him though because
his father was killed by his uncle that soon after married Hamlet's
mother then Hamlet's lover won't speak to him.
