I have found (via twitter) a really interesting website called
'Understanding Science'.
It's been developed by the University of Berkeley. They say that 'The
mission of Understanding Science is to provide a fun, accessible, and
free resource that accurately communicates what science is and how it
really works.'
It talks about some of the discoveries that have been made, uses
recent examples (such as cold fusion) to show how science works in a
more 'messy' way than might be described in some science textbooks
(though not Science in Society!)
You can find it here:

Well worth exploring. I'm be having a closer look, and will highlight
any gems that I find.
Best wishes
Carol
p.s I'm now on twitter (@DrDav), and try to sometimes highlight useful
items for Science in Society using a #SCIS hashtag. You might also
like to check the #C21Science which often has useful links about HSW.
