i want to allow GRE protocol through Google cloud firewall because i need to create a Site to site VPN from GCE to our local office and want to make this GCE as VPN router for my GCE network farm, Actually the reason is Google cloud VPN is not working with mikrotik firewall due to its limitations.
therefore my plan is to create a Linux machine with openswan and tunnel my firewall traffic with it.
any better idea or advice will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Yousuf

Unfortunately GCE does not support GRE: See

Thanks, but i don't know why google is not following the world cloud providers. every cloud provider is very flexible and support different level of vpns but i am wondering why google is behind.
