Enabling 1GB hugepages on instance / GKE nodes

Hi,

   I am investigating DPDK and need to enable 1GB hugepages, I am actually trying to do this in GKE, but as a starter for 10 I'll take getting it enabled on a GCE instance as a first step. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Linux hosts appear to have 2M hugepages enabled by default and normally you can increase this by adding some grub settings on boot, however I can't seem to be able to do any of that and Google help/docs seem near useless.

Anyone tried this or know if it is possible?

HI I found this no -google article from DPDK [1] 

I don' think you can do anything in GRUB since it is inaccessible in GCP.

And for GKE, I found this in kubernetes [2]
