Has anyone successfully booted a .VMDK file from a GCP image on a local machine?

I am trying to boot my website on my local machine using VMware Workstation. I tried several times to and various settings but I can't get the .VMDK file to boot. It keeps stalling on Switched Clock Source. Im running a BIOS with Debian 10.x on a VMware 15.5 workstation
