Hi,

I am trying to create a VM instance with this configuration

1: 4 vCPU
2: 1 GPU NVIDIA TESLA K80
3: Boot disk: Ubuntu 16.04 with 10GB disk

I have already increased my quota

Changed Quota:
+---------------------+-------
----------------------+
| Region: us-central1 | PREEMPTIBLE_NVIDIA_K80_GPUS |
+---------------------+-----------------------------+
|       Changes       |            0 -> 1           |

When I try to create the instance, I get GPU quota error.
Please help me understand the issue.

Thanks

It seems like you have been trying to create a regular virtual machine instance with the 'Preemptible GPU quota' on your project. You might need to create a 'Preemptible VM Instance' to use your 'preemptible GPU quota' . Check this Google Cloud Platform blog for more details about ‘Preemptible GPUs’ and its usage.

That's being said, you can always request and add a regular GPU on any virtual machine instance. But, check the restrictions mentioned in the documentation before operating the GPU integrated instances.
