Hi

Not sure if this is the right forum to ask this, so apologies if this is the case. Does anyone know if China users or businesses can access websites/portals hosted on GCE in Asia or Globally. Does anyone know if the Great Firewall would block the Google Public IP of a GCE Instance? I've highlighted below my thoughts:

a) Does the Great Firewall (GFW) block Google's Public IP Range? - If so, that will be a problem for us. If it doesn't, then I believe we will be OK. Google must surely have 1000s of customers around the world who host their websites/portals on GCP globally and have China "public/business" users accessing these sites. This must suggest that Google Public IPs are not blocked?
b) My understanding is that the GFW blocks specific locations, domains and analyzes requests/ content. As long as China users are not accessing anything *.google.com or *appspot.com etc or if the application has no Google API requests sent back to China, then it shouldn't be blocked.

btw, this would be for a simple LAMP stack based portal on GCE we would look to deploy in Google Taiwan DC.

Appreciate any feedback

Hello

Google Cloud Platform do not have restriction on the traffic coming from China. If you are hosting website on GCE, traffic coming from the China users will not be blocked.

That being said, Google do not have any control over the GFW blocking methods.

Thanks
