Google Cloud Storage - Offline Testing

Hi

I have a golang HTTP server which stores and retrieves some data on Google Cloud Storage. However, it is not affordable for me to be always online and I need to be offline while developing and testing my server. Is there a way to use Google Cloud Storage compatible code offline ? For s3, we have many options like minio, fake-s3 etc. Is there an option for Google cloud storage for offline testing ? Also, such a tool will be useful for CI too.

Please note that I am not asking about appengine local testing, but google cloud storage offline testing. Any pointers ?

Hello Sankar,

A local emulator for Google Cloud Storage is not currently offered for offline usage. I have found a similar issue on github where a user created an emulated (mock) bucket for his javascript application, and shared it with the community. You may check it out and programmatically create a similar solution for your use case. On the other hand, and in order to have the product team look into it, I encourage you to submit a feature request here. I hope this helps.
