this is annoying the absolute shit out of me...honestly, i could break something!!!

I am trying to pay my google cloud bill and have been issued with a new visa card to replace a lost one. as soon as i ordered the new visa card about 3 weeks ago, my old card was immediately disabled (as expected). In the meantime, I have had no other means of paying my google cloud bill (which became due last week) until the new card arrived in the mail yesterday (google wont accept any other method of payment).

I went online to my bank (one of the largest banks in Australia), activated the card, ensured that all payment methods related to online payments as well as international payments are enabled.

I go into Google Cloud Console to add a new card and voila...this f#$king system is rejecting my entries saying the card number is invalid.

the card number is not f$%king invalid...ive been using it to make purchases at shops and service stations etc for 2 days (one night obviously)

I get absolutely zero sense out of support staff from google...they keep trying to tell me how to add a new card to my billing account. FFS...I ALREADY  KNOW HOW TO DO THAT!!!

Can anyone help out with this?

I need to get on the phone with someone...this is absolutely F'ing ridiculous!!!

I have an update...after waiting for about 8 hours and trying, the system accepted my card number.

I cannot for the life of me work out why this problem even arose in the first place. I did nothing different to before.

I also note, this has happened with another visa card of mine from my only other financial institution about a year ago (same error with that card as well...which still wont work either btw).

anyway, for now this problem is resolved.

It might be some propagation issues in the system while verifying the bank account but we are not sure about that. In such situations, you can reach out to our billing team as explained in here. The billing team is the best support channel to reach out for those kind of issues.

I have similar problem which the system didn't accept my card in more than one weeks. I walked around this problem by adding my card in Google Play (immediately accepted) and then add it to Google Cloud, it immediately accepted too.
