Hello All,

I just wish to clarify few things..

  

Overview - I'm trying to host the Maven Multi module Java 11 application in Google app engine.

Does Google App engine Flexible not supported Java 11 ??

Im aware of Google App engine  standard  environment supported Java 11 but I'm not able to connect to cloud SQL directly without using vpc connector. 

Flexible can able to connect cloud SQL directly ?

Anyone please advise me on this..

Hello, 

App Engine Flexible supports Java 8 in its default runtime, but you can provide your own runtime by supplying a custom Docker image or Dockerfile from the open source community. This way, you can use Java 11 if you so wish. 

You can connect to Cloud SQL directly from App Engine Flexible using a public IP you need to configure. More related detail in the "Configuring App Engine flexible environment" sub-chapter.
