We have a server in compute engine which serves Firebird SQL.
Trying to debug a CPU usage issue, I opened firebird's process in proccess explorer, and in the TCP/IP connections tab I see a bunch o connections to "bc.googleusercontent.com" which is not something we did setup.

The other expected connections are ok.

Can someone explain me what is this? Can it de disabled?

Hello Multidados,

Similar to this superuser discussion, and this old Google groups thread, the remote addresses in the screenshot above seem to be PTR-records (domain name pointers). I think that the application you are using, like this third party IP scanner, is reverse looking up external IP addresses that are originating from Compute Engine resources (instances), and displaying such host-names.

For example, if a Compute Engine instance uses

 IP address 1.2.3.4

then your application would show the remote address as

4.3.2.1.bc.googleusercontent.com:xxxx (IP reversed)

I suggest checking the actual IP addresses, and act accordingly. I hope that helps.
