I want to create my own VPN in which I can connect with few countries of my choice with minimum latency by establishing VPN server on google cloud using kubernetes, cloud function, and network tools.
Can someone please help me with very detailed step by step tutorials on how to create this VPN server on cloud (mostly using free tire resources to minimize the cost) for safe browsing and accessing sites from other geo-locations securely ?

Hello,

You can use Google Cloud VPN [1] to setup the VPN connections; however, if you would like to use free tier resources such as a free VPN solution, then I would suggest looking online as there are many available. Depending on what VPN solution you choose, the configurations can be different. Also, this is not the best channel to ask for step by step instructions on how to setup an environment from scratch. I would suggest asking this on ServerFault as there is a community of people that will be able to view your inquiry and offer suggestions.

I don't want VPN connection for using it in my cloud instance, I want to create VPN service like Nord VPN for personal use on my mobile devices, in which I can browse and connect my device to any region. I wan't to do this by efficiently using cloud resources, the cloud instance should start only when I connect to VPN on my mobile and  auto terminate when I disconnect the VPN, it should have good throughput and low latency to smoothly browse and stream any content on internet.

Have you considered using Algo VPN? It's not bad to set up, but adding/removing users on a regular basis is a bit of a process.

We use it and highly recommend it.

Hello,

Thank you for your post. As previously mentioned by Jason, the Google Group forum is intended for discussion about GCE Products rather than troubleshooting specific issues.

To get the most out of your interactions, we recommend you ask specific technical questions like "how do I…" or "what does this error mean?" on StackOverflow or ServerFault tagged with [google-cloud-platform] for more visibility.

Furthermore, you may also see the main Community Support page for a list of the tags we monitor. On Community Help Center  on StackOverflow and ServerFault for information on how to ask a good question.
