Hi,

I went through https://cloud.google.com/bigquery/quotas link according to this I supposed to able to fire 50 queries in one go. But even after 6 queries I am getting this issue.
Is it related to cache?

Error I am getting :
{
  "code" : 403,
  "errors" : [ {
    "domain" : "global",
    "message" : "Exceeded rate limits: too many table update operations for this table. For more information, see https://cloud.google.com/bigquery/troubleshooting-errors",
    "reason" : "rateLimitExceeded"
  } ],
  "message" : "Exceeded rate limits: too many table update operations for this table. For more information, see https://cloud.google.com/bigquery/troubleshooting-errors",
  "status" : "PERMISSION_DENIED"
}

Hi,

Seeing that you are getting this error starting at 6 queries, do you have any user-defined functions as part of these queries? If so, there is a quota of 6 concurrent queries when a user-defined function is included.

Additionally, are you making changes to the table’s metadata as part of these operations? There is a limit of 1 table metadata update operation every 2 seconds which can also result in a rate limit error. That being said, I don’t believe the cache should have an effect on your BigQuery rate limit.

If none of the above apply to your use case, please open a private issue tracker including your project number and the BigQuery jobID in which you got the error to allow us to investigate further.
